Dear Brothers and Sisters in Islam,
Please make an effort to sight the Hilal for the month of
Sha‘ban 1447
during the end of January 2026.
The month of Sha‘ban is a blessed month that serves as a spiritual preparation for the arrival of Ramadan. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ increased his worship during this month and emphasized its importance.
By the grace of Allah and through the joint efforts of the Ulama and communities nationwide, the Sunnah of local moon sighting continues to be revived across many regions of North America.
We encourage all communities to participate in this noble effort, fulfilling a forgotten Fardh Kifayah and reviving a great Sunnah of the Ummah.
